It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Pedro Renato Eckersdorff, one of the great names in the Tele-Services, Direct Marketing and Editors/Publications sector in Brazil. Throughout his extensive and notable career, Pedro held several prominent positions in important associations and companies, becoming an influential and respected figure in the market.
Eckersdorff was a member of the Board of Directors of ABEMD (Brazilian Direct Marketing Association) and presided over ANATEC (National Association of Publication Editors) for several terms. He also served as an Advisor to CONAR (National Council for Advertising Self-Regulation), was a member of the Board of Directors of IVC (Institute for Circulation Verification), and chaired the IVC Controlled Publications Committee. Furthermore, Pedro had active participation in COPAGREM (Paper, Printing and Packaging Production Chain Committee) of FIESP and ABIGRAF, and was president of ALMADI (Latin American Association of Direct and Interactive Marketing) for two terms, representing Brazil.
His career also included the presidency of ABT (Brazilian Teleservices Association) for three terms and serving as director of ANER (National Association of Magazine Editors). Pedro was a member of the Deliberative Council of the National Union of Directory and Information Guide Publishing Companies and director of the Brazilian Telephone Directory Association. During his career, he stood out at the GH Group, where he reached the position of Commercial and Social Communications Superintendent, playing a fundamental role in operations in Brazil and abroad.
In addition to his vast experience in the business and association sector, Pedro Renato Eckersdorff also had a degree in Accounting from Mackenzie, with an extension in Business Administration from PUC, and participated in several specialization courses in Marketing, Management and Sales. Always involved with the development of companies and associations, he was a reference in consultancy and market leadership.
Pedro, who celebrated more than 50 years of marriage, was also a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, children and six grandchildren. His departure took place last Friday, September 27, 2024, and his farewell was held at the Horto da Paz Crematorium, in a ceremony restricted to the family.
His legacy of integrity, leadership and contribution to the market will live on in the associations and companies he passed through, and in the memory of all those who had the privilege of working alongside him.
