Fifty years after the release of “LA Woman”, and on the occasion of a deluxe edition of the classic The Doors album, Landia produced a commemorative clip of the classic “Riders on the Storm”.
The new work brings surreal images and starts from the perspective of a young woman who descends from a cross, improvised on an electric power pole, and starts to venture on a road with treacherous curves in the middle of the desert, being chased by a assassin.
The film directed by Brendo+Gonfiantini, from Landia, shows a new interpretation for “Riders on the Storm”, with the character’s struggle against her own ego and to face internal conflicts, question her existence and achieve self-knowledge.
The video’s aesthetic was also thought to have an approach that connects with fans of the past and the new generation – even for this reason, the gamified vision of reality was adopted.
The Landia-signed production blends the surreal vision of life common at the time of the original release of “Riders on the Storm” with the use of new technologies such as Virtual Production, which uses a suite of software tools to merge action recordings live and real-time computer graphics.
