Taking the slogan “the future has already begun” as a guide, Globo announced this Wednesday (16) the news for the 2025 programming, during the Upfront event, held at the Ibirapuera Auditorium, in São Paulo.
According to data from Globo, in 2024, the company had the highest advertising revenue in 12 years and on digital platforms double the market. Paulo Marinho, Globo’s CEO, took the stage to start the event and highlight Globo’s 100 years. “It will be a special year for Globo, as we complete 100 years of history. We have two great passions: communication and Brazil. I reaffirm our commitment to telling new stories and leaving a legacy of creativity, quality and integrity”, he said.
Globo will focus on uniting open TV with digital media through TV 3.0 with segmentation in mass communication without delay and without reach limitations.
Sports
Recently hired Globo presenter Fred Bruno and narrator Luis Roberto announced that the pre-games, on Sundays, will last longer. And they confirmed the broadcasts of the main championships, such as Brasileirão, Copa do Brasil, Libertadores and Brazilian team games.
Realities
Ana Clara and Tadeu Schmidt anticipated the news about realities for 2025 with a new configuration for “Big Brother Brasil” and the confirmation of the second season of “Estrela da Casa”, led by Ana Clara. Coverage in São Paulo will be between February 28th and March 1st with Everaldo Marques, Valéria Almeida and Aílton Graça broadcasting from schools in São Paulo. In Rio, Sapucaí will have another day of parade starting on March 2nd and continuing until the 4th, with Mariana Gross, Alex Escobar and Karine Alves on the broadcast. At seven o’clock, “Rosane Svartman”, author of “Vai na Fé”, will bring a story with urban culture. The world of feminejo will be the theme of the work written by Izabel de Oliveira and Maria Helena Nascimento, which will follow.

100 years of Globo
Pedro Bial announced a special documentary about Globo’s 100 years that will cover the group’s trajectory over the years. In April, TV Globo will show a 60-hour marathon of customized programs in celebration of its 60th anniversary, including a special edition of the “Video Show”.
