This October 17th we celebrate Advertising Professionals Day. In other words, that person known for their creativity and responsibility for creating communication about a certain product that will speak to the public. Congratulations to everyone! And I’ve selected four series here that feature these professionals, and they deserve to be seen – they’re all on streaming.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Mad Men – MGM plus
A huge success for HBO, the series tells the story of Don Draper (Jon Hamm). He is one of the most talented names in the New York advertising scene of the 60s. He keeps an important secret about his past life and has difficulties managing both his work and his family. At the office, Don deals with the ambitions of colleagues like Pete Campbell (Vincent Kartheiser) while encouraging newcomer Peggy Olson (Elisabeth Moss) to become a copywriter. In a period of great political and social transformation, Sterling Cooper employees fight to win more and more customers and, of course, power.
The Sorceress – Pluto TV
Who doesn’t remember McMann & Tate, the agency where James (Dick York and later Dick Sargent), Samantha’s (Elizabeth Montgomery) husband, worked. In the series, he is an agency executive who, when he goes on his honeymoon with Samantha, discovers her secret: she is a sorceress. Although he makes her promise that she will live as a mortal and will not use magic to affect life of both, sometimes she does. Endora (Agnes Moorehead), Samantha’s mother, does not accept that her daughter has married a mortal and, in the suburb where they live, the curious neighbor Gladys Kravitz (Sandra Gould) suspects that there is something strange with the family next door, but he can never explain the strange situations he sees. A series that is part of the affective memory of an entire generation.
Emily in Paris – Netflix
I love this series! Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) is a young marketing executive who gets the opportunity of a lifetime when she moves from Chicago to Paris. She arrives full of energy to work at her company’s new branch. Emily now has the chance to make all her dreams come true. But she faces many challenges along the way. From not knowing how to speak French to having difficulty making friends, to unthinkable love adventures. Emily will then need to find a balance between her professional and personal life, especially when it comes to her handsome neighbor who lives downstairs, Gabriel (Lucas Bravo).
Agency – Netflix
The Korean series Agency follows the hectic and intense routine of an executive. In the office drama, Go Ah In (Lee Bo-young) is the company’s first woman to reach a senior position, having started at the bottom of the voracious advertising market food chain. To achieve her professional goals, she had to give up a lot and take a serious and cold stance. Even though she is successful and ambitious, A-In is human, who makes mistakes and has feelings, no matter how much she tries to deny it.
