The videocast “Doctors in Self-Care” has four episodes presented by Rafa Brites
dr.consulta launched the videocast “Doctors in Self-Care” to inform and raise awareness among women about the fight against breast cancer. The series will feature four episodes presented by Rafa Brites, who will talk to experts and other influencers providing tips and information that can reduce the risk of developing the disease.
In conversations, the guests explain that healthy eating and physical exercise, for example, are among risk mitigating factors, in addition to demystifying mammography.
The first episode features the participation of women’s football team player Tamires Dias, and addresses the relationship between self-care, nutrition and physical activity.
The second episode presents the report of physiotherapist Mariana Fernandes, known as “Mari Anjo Rosa”, who shares her experience after two diagnoses of breast cancer.
The third episode will feature gynecologist and mastologist Mariana Soares and the founder of Gastronomia Periférica Adélia Rodrigues, who will talk more about the prevention of breast cancer and female protagonism, especially in the outskirts, and how self-care manifests itself in the daily lives of these women .
The series will end with the participation of the creator of the Quilombo Family page Adriana Arcebispo and mother Margarida Arcebispo, who will share reflections on the role of emotional bonds in self-care.
“We want to support changes in how people deal with their health. In a simple, relaxed and data-driven way, we launched this videocast to tell real stories and bring people closer to simple habits, such as exercise and nutrition, and a careful look at self-care can do the difference”, says Gabriela Zaninetti, CGMO at dr.consulta.
The initiative is part of dr.consulta’s Pink October campaign, which also offers a 50% discount for patients who undergo their first gynecology consultation at the network’s medical centers throughout the month. In addition, the company also sponsored the sixth edition of Pink Run, an exclusive race for women that took place on October 6th, at Shopping SP Market, in São Paulo. The network also held “Care Day” on October 20th, which was a health campaign for female entrepreneurs, in partnership with the Acelera Mulher program, from Galáxia Academy – an initiative in Paraisópolis.
