Grupo Flow, a digital media ecosystem, and Audible, creator and distributor of audio entertainment, launch the Audible Original ‘Manual Para Não Ser Feito de Otário’. This is a production by Grupo Flow that arrives free of charge on the Audible service on October 23rd, with the main objective of educating and informing listeners about the different types of scams that exist, offering practical tips to avoid falling for fraud.
The audio series will tell real stories, creating audio content that combines learning and an engaging narrative. In each episode, Igor Coelho, founder of Grupo Flow and presenter of Flow Podcast, talks to victims and experts, while creating a practical guide with essential tips to avoid falling for scams such as fake employment, cryptocurrencies, child rental, fake advertisements, falsehood ideological and the famous “love coup” (kidnapping of men). Three episodes are dedicated exclusively to the “Tinder Scam”, also known as sentimental fraud.
According to Sarah Buchwitz, CEO of Grupo Flow, the collaboration with Audible is the result of the union of two complementary forces. “On the one hand, Grupo Flow brings its expertise in producing authentic and engaging content, with a loyal audience and an already consolidated conversation format. On the other, Audible, being a prominent service in the segment of audiobooks and original audio series”, he explains.
“I’m happy to be part of a project like this and offer people a high-quality product, targeting their interest in investigative and educational content. Impunity has made embezzlers prosper in Brazil. In this sense, the idea is to alert society about the risks and promote a discussion about the need for stricter laws to curb this practice”, comments Igor Coelho.
“The audiobook and audio content industry is in full development in the country and I believe that making educational content like the one we launched with the Flow Group available for free is beneficial so that more people have access to the format and the immersive listening experience that Audible offers”, says Adriana Alcântara, general director of Audible in Brazil.
