Artplan has new creative leadership: Ricardo Weitsman. The new executive director of Creation, who reports directly to CCOs Rodrigo Almeida (Monte), Marcello Noronha and Rafael Gil, will be responsible for the Rio de Janeiro office team, led by general director Ana Paula Sanchez.
Ricardinho is from Rio, he worked for the biggest agencies in Rio and won the biggest international awards. At W/McCann RJ, he brought the Golden Lion in Cannes to Coca-Cola, with an unprecedented black Santa Claus on TV. The executive won L’Oréal’s first Cannes Lion outside of Paris, in addition to several Clios, London Festival, One Shows, among others. He also created the campaign that made Americanas the most remembered brand, with the concept “Relax, at Americanas you think”. In his last stint at Artplan, he created the viral hit “Everything Catra plays turns into a son”. Throughout his career he spent time at NBS, running very popular campaigns for Bob’s, BomNegócio, CCAA and Oi. Ricardinho was twice Professional of the Year, by the Columnists Award, and the best writer at the Rogerio Steinberg award, more than ten times.

Ricardinho’s arrival completes the agency’s ECD team, which also includes Roberta Moraes and Luiza Valdetaro, in São Paulo, and Gustavo Tirre, in Brasília.
