It’s official: Fátima Bernardes will pass the crown to someone else in the presentation of the Encontro program, created in 2012, when the journalist announced her departure from Jornal Nacional.
Globo announced that it was taking all measures to make the transition gradual and not confuse the public, and some speculations were raised. The reason for Fátima’s departure is the presenter’s announcement that she no longer wants to do something daily and plans to embark on another project.
For the farewell, the Meeting will make a special ten years of the program in June. According to TV news, the program will air with a special scenario from the station’s studios. After the event, Fátima will have to stay for a few more weeks to present her replacement.
Speculations bring Patrícia Poeta as a future presenter or Sandra Annemberg, currently at Globo Repórter. More announcements to be made soon.
