Just 48 hours after its launch, in February this year, the newsletter the news podcast, a brand of the waffle group, became the most listened to news program in this format in the country.
Upon its debut, the program conquered the charts of the country’s main streaming platforms, maintaining its position to this day. There are more than 180 episodes, responsible for accumulating more than 5 million plays, with a recent average of almost 50 thousand plays per episode.
The channel, considered by 92% of its audience as the main source of information, has already attracted partnerships with brands such as Bauducco, Uber, Mercado Livre and Ademicon.
Just like the newsletter of the same name, episodes are published daily at 6:06 am, providing an overview of the day’s main news in just 15 minutes. The proposal of the program, presented by young people from Gen Z, is to bring the news in a direct and accessible format.
“The news format is designed to be consumed by generation Z, who seek information in a practical and hassle-free way. We create a space where people can stay informed without having to invest a lot of time or feel information overload. Our mission is to simplify the way news reaches people”, explains Hernane Jr., founder and CEO of Grupo Waffle.
Currently, podcast episodes are available on Spotify, Deezer, Amazon Music and Apple platforms.
