The executive is the agency’s chief financial officer and as of April he accumulates the positions; units in Rio de Janeiro and Brasília already have the function
WMcCann created the position of managing director for the São Paulo office and Vitor Lieff will assume the position as of April 1st. In other units of the agency the position already exists. Rio de Janeiro, for example, is commanded by Marcio Borges; and Brasília is led by Patricia Andrade.
Lieff will also accumulate the position of chief financial officer (CFO) of WMcCann, a role he has held since 2017, and will report directly to the president, André França. “We understand that it was also essential to have a general manager in our largest office in Brazil and I am sure that Vitor will contribute even more to our customers and team with his vast knowledge about WMcCann, the IPG Group and the communication market” , says France.
With 21 years of experience, Lieff started his career as an auditor at PwC Brazil. In 2006, he joined WMcCann in the area of financial planning and analysis, where he served as manager and later director. After seven years at the agency, he assumed the financial directorship of Momentum Brasil, a brand that also belongs to McCann Worldgroup.
After a professional exchange at Momentum in New York, he returned to WMcCann on July 1, 2017 to take charge of the finance department. For a year and a half, between September 2018 and March 2020, he temporarily accumulated the role of General Manager in Brasília, having been one of those responsible for setting up the operation to serve Banco do Brasil.
“As CFO, I live the day to day of clients, but from the door inwards. From now on, the idea is to live this day to day also on the front line, glued to the operation. We have an excellent team and fantastic clients in São Paulo; I hope to be able to contribute in a relevant way so that we can achieve the results that customers expect from us”, says Lieff.
