A survey by Latam Intersect Intelligence points to dissatisfaction among network users with face-to-face work
Latam Intersect Intelligence published the ‘Emotional Analysis Report’, using delta analytics technology, seeking to reveal the emotions of TikTok users in relation to in-person, hybrid and remote work models.
According to the survey, 53% of people expressed feelings of emotional distance from face-to-face work, suggesting a search for work environments that offer more flexibility and a collaborative culture, showing an aversion to rigid hierarchical structures and a lack of autonomy.
Hybrid work was evaluated positively by 39% of interviewees, who reported feelings of happiness in posts on the subject. “Analysis reveals that TikTok users, mostly people from Generation Z, feel increasingly disconnected from traditional in-person work models. On the other hand, hybrid work is seen as positive, reflecting this generation’s desire for flexibility and a greater balance between personal and professional life”, explains Carolina Merlin, legal and HR solutions specialist at Mauve Group.
The study also found that 89% of users expressed resentment about remote work. According to the research, this feeling may be related to the decrease in remote vacancies available on the market, which fell 14% between 2023 and 2024, according to data from LinkedIn.
“Employers who adopt hybrid or remote models are more likely to achieve greater engagement and productivity as they meet the needs of workers, particularly younger ones. Flexible working not only reduces stress, but also supports employee well-being and talent retention”, says Carolina.
