In a note, the broadcaster thanked the presenter, who spent 20 years in the group
José Luiz Datena and the Band ended their contract. According to the broadcaster, which issued a statement this Thursday (28), the termination was by mutual agreement.
The presenter stayed at Record between 1998 and 2002, where he presented, among others, ‘Fala Brasil’ and ‘Cidade Alerta’. Afterwards, he went to RedeTV!, but for a short time, until he returned to Record.
His first stint with Band came later, in 2003. On the Morumbi station, he presented ‘No Coração do Brasil’, ‘SP Happen’ and ‘Brasil Urgente’.
In 2011, he returned to Record, but little remained. Datena then returns to Band, where she graduated this year to run for Mayor of São Paulo. During a debate, Datena threw a chair at the then candidate Pablo Marçal.
“The Band reinforces its enormous affection for Datena and the bonds of friendship with the professional, who has had an enormously successful trajectory at Grupo Bandeirantes for more than 20 years”, informed the broadcaster.
