As of this Wednesday (16), the newspaper Estadão has a new sub-editor, Soluções Ambientais. Created in partnership with the Rolex brand, the editorial project will be published in the Sustainability section. The strategy represents another step in the strategy of reinventing the formats of Estadão, which recently adopted the German model.
The project will have a cross-platform scope, with reports published both digitally and in print. The content will be produced by journalists specializing in the environment and sustainability and will feature articles on the ocean, rivers and Brazilian biomes, with the aim of raising awareness among readers and disseminating information about new and successful practices.
“The partnership reflects the importance that the two organizations attach to the valorization and dissemination of actions related to the Environment and Sustainability”, says Paulo Pessoa, commercial executive director of the newspaper.
“Estadão reinforces its role of informing and raising awareness of an increasingly relevant agenda, complementing the Perpetual Planet initiative, through which Rolex has supported, for almost a century, people and organizations that fight for the preservation of the planet” .
Content Hub
In addition to editorial content, the partnership involved Estadão Blue Studio, dedicated to advertising and performance-oriented solutions. The platform was responsible for creating an interactive content hub, ‘Defensores da Terra’, where the public can find stories from the people behind projects that are part of Rolex’s Perpetual Planet initiative.
These include the Rolex Entrepreneurship Award, which supports individuals who develop innovative projects and make a significant contribution to protecting the planet; Perpetual Planet Expeditions, a series of expeditions to study vulnerable areas around the globe and the impacts caused by climate change and human activities; and Mission Blue, which seeks to consolidate a global network of marine protected areas around the world.
