Kuaishou, developer of the short video creation and sharing app Kwai, presents the first global edition of its Transparency Report, which aims to generate more knowledge and understanding of the policies, enforcement actions and approach to privacy and security of its platforms. . The information considers data in the period of 1ºfrom July to December 31, 2021.
Among the highlights of this first edition of the Transparency Report is information on the application of the Community Guidelines, which determine the types of content that are not allowed on the platform – in the analyzed period,12,334,935 videos have been removed globallyfor violating the policies and terms of use, representing less than 2% of all videos uploaded on Kuaishou’s international platforms.
The report also highlights Covid-19 mental health and safety measures awareness campaigns, as well as details how law enforcement and intellectual property protection requests are responded to in the regions where Kuaishou operates, which include Latin America, Asia, Middle East and North Africa (the report focuses exclusively on Kuaishou’s international applications outside of China).
The Transparency Report will be updated every six months and the content can be accessed in full on the Kwai Security Center.
