The 14th ball created by adidas for the championship is designed to support the performance of higher speed actions in the game
Adidas has introduced Al Rihla, the official ball for the 2022 World Cup, which will be played in Qatar later this year.
This is the 14th consecutive ball created by adidas for the championship and is designed to support the performance of higher speed actions in the game.

The ball is also designed to respect the environment and is the first to use water-based paints and glues.
In Arabic, Al Rihla is translated as “The Journey” and draws inspiration from architecture, traditional boats and the flag of Qatar.
The ball was unveiled on Wednesday (30) and marks the start of Al Rihla’s journey to 10 cities around the world, with the initiative to help improve access and equity in local football communities in places like Dubai. , Tokyo, Shanghai, Mexico City and New York, among others.
Starting her journey in Qatar, Al Rihla will appear alongside World Cup greats such as Casillas and Kaka, and players Farah Jeffry and Nouf Al Anzi.
“As part of this engagement, Al Rihla will support local communities by generating initiatives designed to create a long-term impact for grassroots communities and beyond,” said Nick Craggs, General Manager of Football at adidas.
In addition, Al Rihla is the first World Cup ball that will directly contribute by raising funds to positively impact lives around the world: 1% of Al Rihla’s net sales will go to the Common Goal movement.
