The first episode of Moon Knight is now available on Disney+. The new series from Marvel stars Oscar Isaac, star of Star Wars and Dune, and introduces the new anti-hero of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The hero is already a known card among fans who read the comics, but he had never appeared in live action until then.
Check out the Moon Knight trailer:
“Moon Knight follows Steven Grant, a kind and polite souvenir shop employee who is plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares his body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies turn on them, both must navigate their complex identities as they delve into a deadly mystery between the mighty gods of Egypt.”
This is the fifth series of the MCU to debut on Disney’s streaming service, continuing to bring the shared universe of films to streaming. In addition to her, WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and Hawkeye also arrived on the service. An animation called What If was also another new arrival last year.
The main name in the direction of the episodes is Mohamed Diab. The Egyptian filmmaker is the first from the Middle East to have a director’s chair in the MCU. In addition to him, the series script is signed by Jeremy Slater and Beau DeMayo, known for The Umbrella Academy and The Witcher respectively.
The cast also includes the likes of May Calamawy and Ethan Hawke, with the latter being the main villain of the series as far as we know. French actor Gaspard Ulliel, who passed away a few months ago, also participates in the series.
New episodes of Moon Knight will be available every week on Disney+.
