Created in 2019 by Americans Jack Ezon, Eli Ashear and Julie Danziger, Embark Beyond was born to be much more than a travel agency: a Embark Beyond is a luxury travel consultancy dedicated to creating thoughtfully designed experiences that go beyond a destination.
As part of a global expansion strategy, Embark Beyond partnered with Tomas Perez, CEO of Teresa Perez Tours, Brazil’s leading high-end travel company, and Aries Group to launch the Embark Beyond Brasila business model of the future in the tourism segment, a full-service hosting agency, which provides innovative tools for its affiliates, synchronized online reservation systems, along with the inclusion of the American model of payment, purchase and collection of the consultancy service suited to the Brazilian market.
At the head of the new company will be Sylvia Silva, a professional with over 15 years in the luxury market, with a strong relationship with travel consultants and entry into all different areas of the market. For all Embark Beyond Brazil members, the host agency will translate all of its tools – both in language and in cultural nuances – for greater relevance to the Brazilian market.
In these years, Embark Beyond has created a model of the future in the tourism sector for its associates, a system in which several agencies provide clients with exclusive itineraries and unique experiences. As a result, the company was able to achieve sales of $175 million within two years of its existence. “We want to make the tourism XP. It is a joint venture that is already looking for more Brazilian agencies. The goal is to reach 50 members in the next three years and an annual turnover of R$100 million”, says businessman Tomas Perez, CEO of Teresa Perez Tours, who partnered with Ezon to bring Embark Beyond to Brazil.
“Embark Beyond identified the Brazilian market as promising to launch its first international presence. We aim to export our unique approach to building strategic luxury travel businesses here. Our business plan, marketing tools and approach have resulted in an individual business growth of 400 to 500% for our agents.”, commented founding partner Jack Ezon, who came to Brazil especially for the launch of the company.
Embark Beyond Brasil officially started its operations this week after a period of soft opening and arrived on the market to move the business model in the tourism sector, which still has a traditional style of work when it comes to tourism professionals and with great potential to be explored in terms of more efficient and less bureaucratic methods.
The company opens up possibilities and channels of knowledge through the connection between people, allowing its members access to the benefits club of the most renowned hotel chains and to the Virtuoso seal, online reservation system, intranet with its own and exclusive content, training dedicated staff, indication for participation in tourism fairs, exclusive FAMtrips, physical space for meetings and periodic meetings between affiliates, operational support, Marketing advice, connection with professionals from various parts of the world, rich sharing of ideas and knowledge.
The new host agency starts its operations integrated and being part of some of the main benefit clubs of hotel chains, such as Diamond Club, of Dorchester Collections, Fan Club, of Mandarin Oriental chain, Penclub, of The Peninsula hotels, Bellini Club, of the chain Belmond, Preferred Partner, from the Four Seasons group, Rosewood Elite, from Rosewood hotels, and Stars Luminous, from Millux. Participation in these clubs is essential to guarantee exclusive benefits and services for its associated travel agents.
Its operations are carried out from the new office already in operation, located at Av. Brigadeiro Faria Lima, in the heart of Jardim Paulistano. The Brazil operation has been increasing the number of associated agents – currently there are 15 affiliated agencies, a number three times greater than the number projected for its launch.
