Publicis and Africa were the companies that most worked with women last year
A study carried out by Free The Work, a platform that defends the diversity and inclusion of under-represented creators in the audiovisual market, revealed which agencies worked the most with the directors. Publicis appears in first place, with Africa in second place; BETC Havas took third and SunsetDDB followed.
The survey also revealed that 83% of female directors feel represented by an audiovisual production company.
“Gradually, we are seeing that the market has been inspired by this continuous movement of including diverse talents and actually working with more women in their projects”, said Marianna Souza, president of APRO and spokesperson for Free The Work in Brazil.
In addition, regarding the volume of projects budgeted in 2021, 54% of the directors believe that there was an increase in the volume of requests for budgets. In this sense, for the first time, BETC Havas was the agency that most budgeted work for the production of films with female directors, based on the reports of the creators who participated in the survey; Mutato and FCB were tied for second place, and Publicis dropped to third place.
