the television series Halobased on one of the most famous franchises in the world of games, had its debut on the streaming service Paramount+ on the 24th of March. In a few days, the series became the most watched series on the service, breaking audience records. Previously, the title belonged to a Yellowstone prequel called 1883.
“Bringing Halo to life as a streaming series has been one of the most rewarding efforts for Paramount+ to date, and we couldn’t be more excited about the huge response from fans to the series’ premiere,” said Paramount chief Tanya Giles.
Halo already had its production confirmed for the second season, and had some highlights such as revealing the protagonist’s face after years Master Chief.
According to information from the series’ staff, each episode cost around $10 million to produce, making it one of the most expensive in history and approaching other major titles like Game of Thrones.
