Netflix’s new horror movie, Choose or Die, is about a demonic retro game that unleashes a terrible curse. It’s part Jumanji, part Hunter x Hunter ‘s Greed Island arc, part of Netflix’s Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, and lots of bright, stark green screens.

In Choose or Die, a young programmer stumbles upon a retro text-based game and tries to beat it to win the grand prize. But she soon discovers that it’s no ordinary game – it’s a cursed game (and aptly, it’s calledCURS>R). The game eerily mirrors real life and soon the choices she’s forced to make start to turn deadly. And as the old saying goes, if you die in the game, you definitely die in real life.
Choose or Die stars Iola Evans (Carnival Row , The 100) and Asa Butterfield of Sex Education. The film debuts on Netflix on April 15. Unfortunately, there’s no interactive Netflix element to accompany it. Unfortunately, the audience won’t be able to choose or die, just watch.
