Facebook and Disney announced that they have renewed their agreement to broadcast live games from Conmebol Libertadores 2022, doubling the number of matches available on Facebook Watch and ESPN Pay TV channels. The action takes effect from this week, when the group stage of the competition begins.
Started last year, the project also provides for the matches to be broadcast in nine other Spanish-speaking countries participating in the tournament: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
In Brazil, Facebook Watch and Disney’s sports channels will show matches together from the first round of the group stage. This Wednesday, for example, Alianza Lima (Peru) and River Plate (Argentina), at 9 pm, and Ind. Petrolero (Bolivia) and Emelec (Ecuador), at 11 pm.
According to the announcement, part of the games will be broadcast between Tuesday and Thursday on Facebook Watch, in addition to being present on Disney’s ESPN channel and on the STAR+ streaming platform in Brazil.
