Colormaq, a manufacturer of steel appliances and kitchens, presents the new EcoMax semi-automatic washing machine, with a capacity of 6 kilos of clothes. Produced from post-consumer plastics, the launch unites innovation and sustainability, as its great differential is to use plastic items that have been properly discarded and sent for recycling, making the circular economy a reality.
“The partnership between Colormaq and Braskem reinforces the effort to deliver quality products to the consumer, reducing possible environmental impacts. In the first year, Colormaq estimates that it will stop emitting around 200 tons of carbon dioxide with this product”, comments Luiz A. Wan-Dall Jr, CEO of Colormaq.
For Renato Yoshino, director of Agro, Infrastructure and Industry at Braskem, the joint action between Braskem and Colormaq is in line with the circular economy and contributes significantly to the reuse of plastic waste that would previously be discarded. “The appliance is produced from post-consumer resin (PCR) from our I’m green™ recycled line, whose raw material is recycled plastic – which was properly discarded and went through the entire recycling process, becoming resin again . A sustainable future is only possible with the union between all links in the production chain”, explains the executive.
The new 6kg EcoMax Semi-Automatic Washer contributes to reducing the impact on the planet, as, at the end of its life cycle, the product can be recycled and returned to the beginning of the chain, further reinforcing the circular economy.
