A PUMA signed the sponsorship agreement Brazilian Athletics Confederation (CBAt), which will run from July this year until the end of 2024, including the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The Confederation will appear for the first time in PUMA at the World Championships in Athletics in Oregon, USA, between July 15th and 24th this year . The partnership includes the sponsorship of adult and youth teams, including male and female athletes.
Fabio Kadow, Marketing Director at PUMA Brazil, celebrated:
“We are very proud to close this partnership with the Brazilian Athletics Confederation. It is the first time that PUMA sponsors a Brazilian sports team and for this reason it will be special, with a focus on the development of the sport and women. A track record of success in athletics on a world scale, with 19 Olympic medals won, makes this a perfect partnership for PUMA.”
Wlamir Motta Campos, president of CBAt, spoke about the partnership:
“Partnering with PUMA is a great responsibility for us and a source of great pride. I’m sure the athletics community will embrace PUMA because we’re talking about a great product, fantastic technology that will help our athletes perform.”
PUMA has a long and rich history in the Athletics Field, having sponsored the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association since 2002. The brand also has a number of national federations including Cuba, Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, Dominican Republic, Norway, Switzerland, Portugal and South Africa. Individual athletes include former sprinter Usain Bolt, 400m hurdles world champion Karsten Warholm, pole vault star Armand “Mondo” Duplantis, three-time Olympic medalist Andre DeGrasse, marathon runner and Olympic medalist Molly Seidel and in the triple jump medalists Patricia Mamona and Will Claye.
