Globo is preparing to broadcast the Carnival samba school parades – out of season. The station will broadcast to Rio de Janeiro the parades of the Gold Series of the Carioca Carnival, on April 20 and 21, with a presentation by Mariana Gross and Pedro Bassan and comments by Leonardo Bruno and Lucinha Nobre.
The Rio de Janeiro Special Group shows will be broadcast on April 22 and 23, which will be presented by Maju Coutinho and Alex Escobar, with comments from Milton Cunha and Pretinho da Serrinha.
“The expectation for the resumption of Carnival is great. I am very happy with this opportunity to present this great party”, celebrated Maju.
The transmission of the fashion shows in São Paulo, for the state only, will be led by Chico Pinheiro and Michelle Barros, with comments by Ailton Graça and Celso Viáfora.
On Tuesday, the 26th, the poll follows the same model: the definition of the winning school in Rio de Janeiro will be broadcast on TV Globo, while São Paulo follows the voting of the chosen one of the São Paulo carnival.
Globoplay will make the presentation of all samba schools available in full on VOD (video on demand), free of charge, for logged-in non-subscribers.
The multiplatform coverage of the Carnival will include G1, which will broadcast the entire parades and the investigation of the carnival in Rio (Série Ouro and Grupo Especial) and São Paulo (Grupo Especial), in addition to offering real-time coverage, with and excerpts from the parades.
Multishow will broadcast, live, the Parade of Champions of Rio de Janeiro on April 30, at 9:15 pm, with Milton Cunha and the character Briti (Isabelle Marques), from the humorous ‘Tô de Graça’, Cacau Protásio, Pedroca Monteiro, Laura Vicente and Mari Gonzalez. On the 24th, starting at 8 pm, the channel will show the tribute that GRES São Clemente will pay to Paulo Gustavo at Marquês de Sapucaí.
GloboNews will broadcast the documentary ‘Arrived Carnival’ this Sunday (17), at 11 pm. The feature tells the stories of people involved in the construction of the parade and shows how samba schools and their components faced the pandemic. The material is an original production by Globo.
