On April 22, Earth Day, National Geographic Brazil debuts the “Nat Geo Podcast”, the brand’s first 100% Brazilian audio program, with local production and guests. Presented by André Carvalhalwriter and expert in design for sustainability, the premiere episode has as guests Ailton Krenakindigenous leader, environmentalist, poet and Brazilian writer of indigenous ethnicity and Paulina Chamorrojournalist with more than two decades of coverage of socio-environmental issues, for a chat about the importance of experiencing Earth Day 365 days a year.
O “Nat Geo Podcast” has seven episodes and, after the premiere, will have fortnightly premieres always on Tuesdays. Therefore, over the next few months, the podcast invites listeners to discuss and learn about various topics associated with environmental issues.
The podcast will bring topics from diving into the Amazon Rainforest to understanding the progress and consequences of deforestation, the importance of the oceans in the health of the planet and the role of women in the fight for climate change. Issues such as entertainment and fashion that invite us to redefine our relationship with nature will also be investigated.
The production of the Nat Geo podcast by National Geographic Brasil is part of the campaign What You Do Matters which – through multiple platforms and various initiatives – seeks to make its audience aware of the importance of collective action for the planet.
