Porta dos Fundos announces Rafael Fortes as new vice president of production and content. Rafael Fortes has over 20 years of experience at the production company O2 Filmes, where he held the position of executive producer. In advertising, he has led national and international campaigns, with production experience in the US, Africa, China and Europe. In terms of content, he was responsible, among other projects, for the documentary about marathon runners made in Ethiopia, “Os Experientes’, for TV Globo, and the recent documentary “The curious story of Itálo ferreira” for the Redbull and billabong channel.
The executive will face the challenge of continuing to develop creative content at Porta dos Fundos, a multi-channel entertainment company that has 37 million fans and more than 11 billion views on its multi-screens. The group produces in various formats, such as sketches, content for brands, original comedy series, reality shows, movies, podcasts, musicals, plays, news, talk shows and specials for Netflix, Comedy Central, HBO, Paramount+, Pluto TV, Amazon Prime, TV Globo, Fox, Deezer, Amazon Music, among others.
“I see in Porta dos Fundos the possibility of creating and producing new forms of content, with the irreverence that is so typical of the group. Porta is an effervescent barn of creative minds, and I believe that my experience will help to contribute to all these projects and give shape to this creativity”, says Rafael Fortes.
In this year 2022, Porta dos Fundos celebrates 10 years. Currently, the group works on four fronts: the brand and its entire distribution network and channel ecosystem; o Porta dos Outros, a unit that aims to develop and produce original content for brands to relate to their audience; Porta Studio, the long format production arm for TV and streaming; and Backdoor (Poland and Mexico), an international division that has made the group conquer the world.
