AMARO, a lifestyle retailtech operating in fashion, beauty, well-being and home, has entered into a partnership with Universal and, for the first time in the company’s ten years, will launch licensed products. The three franchises already confirmed are Gato Felix, ET – in the year of the 40th anniversary of the film –, and Jurassic World, with exclusive collections still in the first semester.
There will be 30 products, including women’s and children’s items, with prices starting at R$119.00 for women and R$79.90 for Kids. The first collection launched will be that of Gato Felix, on April 25, with options for t-shirts and sweatshirts. The other two – ET and Jurrasic World – should be presented in the month of May.
According to data from Live MKT, the licensee market in Brazil is in eighth position in the world ranking and moves more than 4.5 million dollars a year. In addition to a great business opportunity, it is a strategy to strengthen relationships with its consumers, since the AMARO and Universal capsule collections franchises carry a touch of nostalgia, fantasy and magic.
“AMARO has always wanted to launch licensed pieces and, in partnership with Universal, we will be able to present super important collections of characters and franchises for our consumers of different ages, as well as being successful among children, as ET, Gato Felix and Jurassic World spans generations.”, explains Jamile Benetti, Category Manager at AMARO.
The first batch, with 13 variations of women’s and children’s products, will stir the affective memory of the AMARO public. Felix the Cat comes in colorful and nostalgic creations. Raised in the silent film era, he is considered one of the most iconic and popular cartoon characters. With his black body and giant smile, he and the gang are always looking for new adventures, always counting on the help of his magic bag to escape any trouble.
