Festival, which will take place between June 20th and 24th, will return to being in person after two years due to Covid-19
Cannes Lions has announced the lineup for this year’s festival, which runs from June 20-24. This year’s edition will return to being face-to-face after two years away from the French riviera, although the organization has informed that it will maintain remote programming in order to expand the reach of content.
This program was built on areas classified by the organization as ‘priority’, identified through the Cannes Lions Creativity Study – diversity and inclusion, sustainability, data, business transformation and creative effectiveness are some of them.
Among the names are David Droga, founder of Droga5 and CEO of Accenture Song, Wendy Clark, CEO of Dentsu International, Mark Read, CEO of WPP, LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky.
“This year’s agenda is focused on the key topics that the industry has told us are the most pressing. CEOs, CMOs, activists and world leaders will come together to collectively address them, act, find solutions and drive progress through creativity.” said Simon Cook, CEO of Cannes Lions.
This year’s Creative Marketer of the Year, AB InBev will take the stage to talk about creativity as an engine for business growth. Additionally, professionals who worked behind Star Trek Sir Patrick Stewart OBE and Alex Kurtzman will showcase how the 55-year-old global franchise has managed to rekindle connections with audiences.
Cannes Lions also announced that it will host the CMOs for the Spotlight series with marketing directors including: Julia Goldin of The Lego Group; L’Oréal’s Asmita Dubey; Nadja Bellan-White of Vice Media; Suzanne Kounkel, from Deloitte; David Rubin of the New York Times; and Cristina Diezhandino, from Diageo.
