A survey carried out by Adcolony and published by Adsmovil pointed out that 60% of Brazilians intend to make purchases for Mother’s Day this year. According to the survey, 67% of respondents said they are likely to purchase a product through an ad that impacts them while using their smartphone.
The cell phone, by the way, continues to be the main means used for online shopping by consumers in Brazil, with 62% of preference, followed by the computer and/or notebook (30%) and tablet (8%).

According to Leila Guimarães, country manager at Adsmovil in Brazil, the data highlights the importance of brands increasingly investing in digital advertising models for smartphones, which have an increasing reach and audience in relation to people who use social networks and apps. games, for example.
Among the products that consumers should purchase for Mother’s Day, the survey pointed out that the main ones are clothes (53%), chocolates (48%) and cosmetics (42%).
The survey showed that 48% of Brazilians indicated that they will order gifts online and with home delivery; 33% will make the same purchase, but with a preference for curbside pickup, in which the consumer picks up the product in the store’s parking lot, without leaving the car, while 19% prefer the usual trend of carrying out all steps in physical stores .
Why buy?
Other curiosities concern the reasons why Brazilians make more purchases online on this date: 52% for having lower prices, 46% for being more convenient, 40% for a better shopping experience, 36% for the possibility of selecting items, 32% easy to compare prices.
