Warcraft is getting its own mobile game with Arclight Rumble, Blizzard Entertainment announced Tuesday. The game, a free and fast mobile action strategy game developed for Android and iOS devices, will be released later this year.
Em Warcraft Arclight Rumble , players will fight with collectible Warcraft Minis, as per the game’s description on the Google Play Store and its official website. The mobile game will feature a “massive single-player campaign” across 70 missions and head-to-head PvP battles, says Blizzard. Various modes including Conquest, Dungeons, Raids and Co-Op are promised on the game’s website.
Players will take control of an army of minis designed to look like desktop miniatures, including hero characters like Jaina Proudmoore and Grommash Hellscream. Blizzard promises over 65 minis and Warcraft characters from five playable families: Alliance, Horde, Beast, Undead, and Blackrock. Players will be able to level up their heroes and unlock special abilities, and will be able to participate in weekly and monthly challenges on Warcraft Arclight Rumble diz to Blizzard.
Interested players can pre-register for Warcraft Arclight Rumble via the game’s website and Battle.net.
Before the announcement of Arclight Rumblethe only mobile presence for Warcraft, a franchise over 25 years old, was in Hearthstone. The free-to-play card game arrived on iOS devices in April 2014 and for Android devices later that year. But Hearthstone is a card collecting game, completely different from the action RPG experience of World of Warcraft or the real-time strategy of the first three titles in the franchise.
