RD3 Digital developed, for the second time, the Coca-Cola Christmas app, called “Christmas Coca-Cola”, with augmented reality (AR).
Launched this week, the app allows people to interact with the brand’s products. By pointing the app’s camera at one of Coke’s special Christmas packages, it “will come to life” on the smartphone, with Santa Claus “coming out” of the can or bottle, with words of affection, affection and union.
In addition to transporting Santa Claus to people’s homes, the app also lets you create postcards to share on social media or send to relatives and friends, in addition to playing games.
“It requires all of our dedication and commitment, as, in addition to being a national campaign, it is Coca-Cola’s ‘great date’”, highlighted Raphael Magri, one of the partners at RD3 Digital.
According to the note sent to the press, the objective of this year’s RD3 Digital is to rank first in the list of most downloaded apps in Brazil. In 2020, they occupied the third position. “Like last year, the app is part of a three-pillar gear, joining actions at points of sale and the long-awaited Christmas caravan. It will work as a means for people to interact and unite, even at home,” explained Magri.
The application was developed in 60 days by 15 company professionals and is available on iOS and Android. “It’s a process that involves documentation, service, basic art development, screen layout, programming, art direction, 3D content modeling and many other techniques. In order to reach all smartphone devices, we made use of the Vuforia Engine system, one of the most modern and complete on the market, and we created the entire concept for it”, added the partner.
