In commemoration of the date, radio programs will be broadcast live from Teatro Itália and the event will be open to the public.
Grupo Bandeirantes turns 85 this Friday (6th) and, in celebration of the date, the group has prepared an event open to the public, from 8 am to 3 pm.
All radio programming will be broadcast live from Teatro Itália and will feature the entire cast of the station. Among the confirmed presences, in addition to the special participation of Salomão Esper in Jornal Gente, are José Luiz Datena, Neto, Milton Neves, Elia Júnior, Ulisses Costa, Cláudio Humberto, Thays Freitas, Pedro Campos, Eduardo Castro, Agostinho Teixeira, Ana Paula Rodrigues and Joel Datena.
Since February, listeners have been checking out the replay of some of the radio’s most memorable moments, such as interview pills with national and world personalities.
“The Documentation and Memory Center of Rádio Bandeirantes (CEDOM) keeps archived recordings that accurately portray much of the station’s history. There are almost seven thousand hours of recordings that place the collection of Rádio Bandeirantes, surely, among the richest among all Brazilian radio stations”, said journalist Milton Parron, responsible for CEDOM.
In homage to the radio tradition in sports, the station will promote an action at the Football Museum, with the history of its sports broadcasts since the 1950 World Cup.
The calendar of celebrations extends to the subscription channel BandNews TV and open TV — which turns 55 on May 13 —, with reports telling the group’s history and pills showing the Band’s archives, with soap operas, sports competitions, music and political debates, among other activities.
“We are going to carry out actions with BandNews FM, which also celebrates its anniversary in May, taking programs to the street to interact with the listener in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo”, said Rodolfo Schneider, national director of content at Grupo Bandeirantes.
Since the beginning of May, Rádio Bandeirantes has extended its national programming to the range from 6 am to 8 am, showing Pulo do Gato and Primeira Hora to the network’s more than 50 affiliates across the country, and is promoting discussion forums on the theme “A Look at the Future” with four debates that were held between the 2nd and 5th of May, talking about economy, education, health and sustainability.
“Looking ahead, we will have more news in journalism in an election year. We are going to strengthen our entertainment base and work to be increasingly strong in digital”, said Schneider, while highlighting attractions such as Fausto Silva’s program, the game show 1001 Questions, with Zeca Camargo, the humorous Perrengue na Band and the TV news program Boa Afternoon São Paulo, presented by Adriana Araújo.
Currently, Band has among its main products the transmissions of Formula 1, Stock Car, German Championship and NBA matches.
