Grupo SBF reinforces its strategy of creating a sports ecosystem with the acquisition of FitDance, known as one of the largest dance platforms in the world, with more than 10 billion views accumulated on the internet. Today, the network has an audience of more than 15 million practitioners and more than 10,000 trained instructors.
This is the second move this year by Grupo SBF, owner of Centauro and Nike do Brasil, which in February acquired the entertainment agency X3M. In recent years, as part of this journey, the company bought the Nike operation in Brazil and became the only distributor of the brand’s products in the country for a period of ten years, from Fisia; and also the content producer NWB, which has channels Desimpedidos, Accelerados and Falção 12.
“The acquisition automatically puts us in a leading position in a new market, with more than 35,000 gyms and 20 million practitioners, with enormous growth prospects, such as the inclusion of Break Dance, for the first time, as an Olympic modality in Paris 2024”, says Gustavo Furtado, general manager of SBF Ventures, a unit created in 2021 to boost investments and responsible for conducting the business.
