Ie be smart time to register. This promotion is not cumulative with the Combo +. If in doubt, go to:www.help.starplus.com.
I watch Star Plus a lot. So here are some tips for 5 series and 5 movies for you to enjoy:
Series
Dopesick
A doctor (Michael Keaton) notices a dangerous increase in patients addicted to opioids in his office. Most are desperate workers. He begins to investigate this increase in the number of drug addicts. He then realizes that there is a huge conspiracy in a huge pharmaceutical conglomerate. The company tries to sell the idea that the oxycontin drug is non-addictive. Only the information was clearly fabricated.
Love, Victor
There are two seasons available on Star Plus. Young Victor Salazar (Michael Cimino) is new to Atlanta. He gets a chance to start over from scratch after his parents ran away from their own problems. On this typical teenage journey of self-discovery, Victor goes on to study at the renowned Creekwood High School. There he makes new friends as Mia (Rachel Hilson), a friendly and popular girl who quickly takes an interest in him. But everything gets complicated when Victor becomes interested in Benji (George Sear) with whom he has a lot in common. Frightened by what he is beginning to feel and questioning his sexuality, Victor seeks refuge in Simon Spier (Nick Robinson). He is a high school alumnus who went through the same situation a year ago. Meanwhile, secrets behind her parents’ story begin to emerge, causing friction between family members.
Only Murders in the Building
I loved! One of the three best series I’ve seen this year. Three strangers share an obsession with true crime genre. The trio consists of Mabel (Selena Gomez), Charles (Steve Martin) and Oliver (Martin Short). Suddenly, they find themselves involved in a crime in real life. A horrific death takes place inside his exclusive apartment building on the Upper West Side. And the three begin to suspect murder. They then use their knowledge of true crime to investigate the case. But it doesn’t take long for the trio to realize that an assassin could be living among them. Therefore, they may be in danger. Now they’ll have to race to decipher the clues and discover the truth – before it’s too late.
This is Us
This is Us is focused on the history of the Pearson family, which began with the marriage between Jack Pearson and Rebecca Pearson. In the present, the series follows the couple’s children, Randall, Kate and Kevin. They are now adults and deal with a number of common age problems, such as career issues and family formation. Casting include Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia and award-winning Stanford K. Brown. has five seasons available on Star Plus.
Law & Order: Organized Crime
When Chris Meloni decided to leave Law and Order: SVU, fans were in mourning. But now, years later, he’s back with his own series. Elliot Stabler returns to the NYPD after a major personal loss. But he needs to adapt in the new dynamics of the police department. Throughout the story, Stabler seeks to rebuild his life while becoming the leader of a task force. The problem here is that Organized Crime has several crossovers with the mother series, whose season is not available.
Films
Venice
Rediscovering the only man she loved is Gringa’s dream, who owns a brothel in the interior of Brazil. Even blind and very ill, she insists on fulfilling her last wish. She wants to go to Venice to ask forgiveness of the lover she abandoned decades ago. To take her to the Italian city, Tonho, Rita and the other girls who work for Gringa come up with a fantastic plan with the help of a circus troupe. Brazilian film directed by Miguel Falabella, and starring Carmen Maura and Eduardo Moscovis.
Tolkien
After his mother’s death as a child, JRR Tolkien (Nicholas Hoult) and his brother are placed in the care of Father Francis (Colm Meaney). They live on a tight budget and need to help out in the house where they live. Soon, Tolkien befriends a group of young people at school. They form a brotherhood. Together, they encourage each other to have the courage to fulfill their dreams. Fascinated by languages, Tolkien gradually develops one of his own. And he’s going to use it as the basis for the creation of the fantastical universe located in Middle-earth. Beautiful production.
Jojo Rabbit
Jojo (Roman Griffin Davis) is a 10-year-old Nazi. He treats Adolf Hitler (Taika Waititi) as a close friend, in his imagination. His biggest dream is to join the Hitler Youth, a pro-Nazi group made up of other people who agree with his ideals. One day, Jojo discovers that her mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a Jewish woman (Thomasin McKenzie) in her attic. After several failed attempts to evict her, the rebellious young man begins to develop empathy for his new guest. In my opinion, it was the best film of 2020. It won the Oscar for screenplay.
Spotlight
Based on a true story. The drama shows a group of journalists in Boston who gather thousands of documents capable of proving several cases of child abuse. All caused by Catholic priests. For years, religious leaders have hidden the case by transferring priests from the region, rather than punishing them for the case. Winner of two Oscars: film and script. In the cast, Michael Keaton, Mark Ruffalo and Rachel McAdams. Is too good!
Love doesn’t take a Vacation
One of my favorite Christmas movies. The American Amanda Woods has a promising career. But she is depressed because it ended the relationship with her boyfriend. The English writer Iris Simpkins is a popular speaker and has little luck with men. During the Christmas holidays, the two decide to swap homes. And just knowing other realities. The cast is too: Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law and Jack Black.
