Initiative seeks to educate children and young people about the fundamental challenges to eradicating poverty
Rede Gerando Falcões launched Missão Favela X, the NGO’s first initiative in Metaverso. The project was carried out by Accenture and is available on a social gaming platform.
The objective of the game is to educate children and young people about the fundamental challenges for the eradication of poverty (infrastructure, basic sanitation, education, culture and technology), raise awareness of the future generation and raise funds to accelerate the transformation of favelas.
Mission Favela X was launched simultaneously in several cities in the country and in Curitiba, Instituto Incanto was the representative organization, in an action with children at the Cultural Center, which is located in the Santa Quitéria neighborhood, in the capital of Paraná.
“It was a very enriching experience for our children, because in addition to putting the technological issue into practice, it also brought a broad view of their reality within the favela and what changes can be made to improve these conditions,” explained Incanto manager Rosemeri da Silva.
In São Paulo, the launch event was sponsored by brands such as Havaianas, Nestlé and 99 and took place in Favela dos Sonhos, in Ferraz de Vasconcelos, where children and young people played and tested the game on site.
“The game Favela X will be used with a social bias. Many people only know the favela through the car window, and now players of all classes and regions will face, through their computer or cell phone screens, disorders that vulnerable people face in their realities. activities”, said Edu Lyra, CEO and founder of Rede Gerando Falcões.
