During the company’s research period, between May 1 and 15, more than 225,000 mentions about streaming on the network were analyzed.
According to the study, one of the main reasons for Netflix being the streaming with the most mentions on Twitter was, first, the loss of subscribers to the service, the first in ten years. According to the company’s financial data, 200,000 people stopped being members of the service between January and March this year worldwide.
In addition, the arrival of advertisements and the company’s attempt to stop the sharing of passwords was one of the points most pointed out by users on Twitter, along with the drop in the company’s revenue.
HBO Max, the second most commented, drew attention for the arrival of new titles in the streaming catalog – the highlight were the actions that the service has taken in relation to the Champions League, which has its games broadcast on the platform.
Globoplay
With Big Brother Brasil, Globoplay was in third place. The survey also pointed out that the arrival of the new season of ‘Desalma’ is also on the radar of users.
As with HBO Max, football has been gaining more and more prominence among Prime Video users on Twitter, but like Netflix, the service’s price hikes are also being cited among the comments.
