the series of CW Riverdale had its final season announced and it will be the seventh. According to Variety, the episodes will air from 2023. The attitude follows a pattern within the CW, which also announced the cancellation of the series Legends of Tomorrow, Legacies, Naomi and Dynasty.
Many controversies have been created over the television series since its launch. Based on Archie Comics, a large part of the audience who watched Riverdale were not happy with plots often called confusing and over-the-top.
The renewal of the series after several criticisms also caused wear in the cast, where some actors like Lili Reinhart (Betty) showed discontent with the direction their characters have taken.
“Most actors would be happy to finish the series, put an icing on the cake,” said Cole Sprouse (Jughead) in an interview with GQ.
In a press interview, Lili Reinhart would have vented about how her character had a little worked development. However, fans of the series that have remained so far seem to be happy with the universe created by The CW, which has at times brought together other characters such as Sabrina, from the series “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”.
The first five seasons are available on Netflix streaming.
