With so many cultural programs being resumed in person, the long-awaited LGBT+ Pride Parade could not be left out, bringing its twenty-sixth edition to life. Organized by the NGO Associação da Parada do Pride LGBT de São Paulo (APOLGBT SP), it will be responsible for occupying Avenida Paulista on June 19, a Sunday, from 2:00 pm.
The theme of this year’s Parade is “Vote with Pride”. After two years where face-to-face editions could not take place due to the pandemic, Claudia Garcia, president of the NGO, says that it is a great pleasure to resume activities and reinforce to the public its responsibility to support representatives who are committed to a fair and egalitarian Brazil. That’s why the campaign endorses the need for attention in the upcoming election period.
Both on the São Paulo LGBT+ Parade website and on its social networks, it is possible to stay up to date with the details of the event. Official podcast, special guests, informative and important posts are part of Instagram @paradasp. Be sure to check it out (the page and the stop). June 19th promises to deliver a lot of beautiful things. And just for the record… vote with pride.
