Time passes and things that we hope will never happen again, happen. I remember an episode of Buffy – The Hunt – Vampires from season three, Earshot, which was postponed. The reason was an episode that showed a student climbing the school tower with a rifle. In the end, he explained that he didn’t want to hurt anyone, just end his own life. But even so, the episode was delayed, as the well-known Columbine massacre had happened just a week earlier. Now the situation is repeated. CBS withdrew from airing the show’s season finale episode. FBI (available here on Globoplay) this Tuesday (24). This is due to the tragedy that occurred at the Texas school also this Tuesday.
For those who don’t know, a gunman opened fire at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. At least 18 children and a teacher were killed. Several others were injured during the incident, including two police officers. These are receiving care at local hospitals. The 18-year-old suspect was also killed.
The episode title is The prodigal son, and had a school shooting as its central theme. According to the synopsis, “The team investigates a deadly robbery. The assassins ended up taking several automatic weapons. It’s when FBI people discover that one of the criminals is a classmate of Jubal’s son (Jeremy Sisto), who is reluctant to help on the case.
What did CBS do?
It is not yet known if CBS will air the episode, or when. The network chose to air a rerun of the 12th episode, which aired on 2/1. with the title of Under pressure, shows Maggie (Missy Peregrym) going to work undercover at a bar.
