Razer announces the expansion of Razer Gold, its game payment services, in the Latin America region. According to Newzoo, the regional market accounts for about 4% of global video game revenue, but for the brand, operating in this region represents three times more than the industry average. The Razer Gold unified virtual credit system, which brings games and relevant offers to users, will now be available at 300,000 points of sale to players in several countries, expanding infrastructure and eliminating barriers between Latin American gamers and their favorite titles.
Razer Gold is also a great differentiator for the company, as no other brand of peripherals has its own microtransaction platform that allows you to buy in local currency with security, incentives, a rewards program and other advantages.
Razer’s investment in regional infrastructure has already started at the new regional headquarters in São Paulo, expanding its marketing, sales, finance, legal and business development teams. Digital currencies also continue and sustain growth in the region led by Brazilian Dennis Ferreira, who coordinates Razer Gold’s expansion in Latin America.
At the same time, with this general expansion, Peru, Bolivia and Guatemala received their own Razer Gold virtual stores with the same content available throughout Latin America, as well as operations in local currencies. Chilean players now have an exclusive website, as well as local sales channels and payment in Chilean pesos.
The growth also represents other great news for Latin American gamers, who can now buy CP in Call of Duty Mobile, V-Bucks in Fortnite, Roblox balance and even Google Play credits, all in a safe and practical way. Content such as RIOT PINs, which give access to League of Legends and Valorant, and various content related to PUBG Mobile, Nintendo, Xbox Live, Minecraft and New State are also available now, with others coming soon.
Razer Gold makes it easier and safer for Brazilian players to recharge their Free Fire Dimas without a credit card. As a result of the brand’s partnership with the game, players can use the recently released Free Fire Razer Gold Gift Cards that are available at Americanas, Pague Menos and thousands of stores across Brazil. Reloading with Free Fire Razer Gold Gift Cards, the player still receives a 10% bonus in Dimas for all their purchases.
Dennis Ferreira, General Manager and Director of Razer Gold in Latin America, said:
“Players will be impressed by the ongoing content of local deals, campaigns, bonus credits, free ‘Goldzins’, discounts on RAZER peripherals and exclusive specials taking place within the Razer Gold ecosystem. No other brand has this kind of infrastructure and can offer this kind of access to content across the region.”
