With creative resources, networks want to strengthen relationships with content creators and offer new opportunities
Facebook and Instagram gained new tools for Reels, which is the fastest growing format on both Meta platforms. With creative resources, the networks want to strengthen the relationship with content creators and offer new opportunities for the dissemination of their work.
On Facebook, users can now create and schedule Reels content using the desktop, in addition to smartphone apps. The network will also have a video editing feature, allowing the cutting of excerpts of long content already published so that they fit in Reels; and for game video creators, it’s releasing tools for editing directly from the live stream.
Content creators also have some new audio features. Facebook introduced the “Voice Overlay” tool, which makes it possible to narrate videos; “Sound Sync”, which syncs the video to the beat of your favorite music; and “Text to Speech”, which gives you the option to turn written text into a narration.
Per the announcement, the platform is also pushing the boundaries of Reels globally, increasing the possibilities for creators to be discovered and reach new audiences.

On the network, the main novelty is the increase in the size of the Reels, which can now be up to 90 seconds. In the update, the format also received the stickers, previously only present in Stories, and now allows content creators to import their own audio directly into Reels.
And finally, it offers users the possibility to use the same structure of a Reels that you watched. Just tap “Use Template” to insert the audio sequence and clips. For those who are tired of seeing the same content and choreography, this may not be good news.
