Yet another story that nicely illustrates Hollywood’s current zero-tolerance policy on harassment. Matthew Morrison, known as Professor Schuster of Gleewas the judge of a reality type American Idolcalled So You Think You Can Dance. Earlier this week, the actor announced that he was stepping away from the show because of “production protocols.” However, a source from People magazine, who would be close to the production staff of the reality, stated that Matthew was released for another reason. He would have sent harassing messages to a participant of the show. The article says she would have reported this to the producers. And these would have fired Morrison after an investigation.

Now the actor, who is married, has responded to the allegations with the video below on his Instagram account.
“It’s sad that I have to come here and defend myself and my family against blatantly lying accusations made anonymously. But I have nothing to hide. So in the interests of transparency, I’m going to read the only message I ever sent to a dancer on the show. ‘ Hey, this is Matthew. If you don’t mind I’d love to get your number and talk to you about a few things.’ The end. I submitted this because this dancer and I have a respect for a choreographer I’ve known for over 20 years. And I was trying to help her get a job as a choreographer on the show.”

He participated in The Good Wifee Grey’s Anatomy (was Jo’s violent ex-husband). It was still in the ninth season of American Horror Story. He also played the lead role in an adaptation of the musical O Grinch to the TV. Originally from Broadway, his last role there was in Finding Neverland.
