The United States dominates the first two lists of category finalists
Cannes Lions released this Thursday (9) the first two shortlists of this year’s festival – Innovation and Titanium. The United States dominated both lists, with four nominations in Titanium and six in Innovation.
The categories brought together 38 works, 24 from Titanium and 14 from Innovation. The finalists in Glass, who would initially also be known today, will only be announced this Friday (10).
Last year, Brazil had only one work among the finalists in Innovation, with ‘Código da Consciência’, created by AKQA for Instituto Raoni — the category’s GP was won by Wunderman Thompson, from Buenos Aires, with “Degree Inclusive”, developed for Unilever.
Already in Titanium, the country is also a finalist, with ‘#GoEqual’, from Africa. The Grand Prix went to London’s AMV BBDO, which was also named the festival’s Agency of the Year.
