According to a survey by ClickBus, the largest marketplace for road tickets in Brazil, Valentine’s Day will shake up the tourism sector.
The company noticed a 17% increase in demand for bus tickets for the date compared to last year and 542% compared to 2019, but it is worth mentioning that that year the date was celebrated on a Wednesday.
According to Phillip Klien, CEO of ClickBus:
“This is the first Valentine’s Day with greater flexibility for travel since the beginning of the pandemic, which leads more people to carry out their travel plans. This year, the date will fall on a Sunday, so it’s a great occasion to visit a romantic destination. And with the rise in the price of fuel, the bus trip becomes even more attractive.”
Destinations such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba and Florianópolis are the ones with the highest demand. Check the destination list:
To take advantage of the heating up in the market, ClickBus will be offering promotions on the hottest routes for Valentine’s Day, with tickets that will have up to 50% off. The brand’s CEO still completes about the promotion on the date:
“Whether as a gift or to travel together, Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity to explore new destinations in comfort, safety and at a price that fits in your pocket. Today we have numerous options for travel buses, from those with conventional seats to the most luxurious ones, with a sleeper, for example. This variety is essential to meet the needs of each customer and provide a unique experience.”
