Value includes Search, Google Ads, AdSense, PlayStore and YouTube
During Google for Brazil, which took place this Tuesday (14), Google released the Economic Impact Report, which showed that the company’s platforms – including Search, Google Ads, AdSense, PlayStore and YouTube – moved R$ 104.5 billion in Brazil last year alone.
To carry out the study, consultancy AlphaBeta relied on public information about the markets in which Google operates and the business benefits generated by the company’s platforms, including the return on investment generated to advertisers by running advertising campaigns on Google’s platforms and revenue shared by Google with publishers, developers and content creators in the country.
One of the numbers that make up Google’s Economic Impact Report in Brazil is the revenue that app developers obtained through the Play Store last year, which reached R$ 1.3 billion.
“During the pandemic period, Google has been an important partner for companies of all sizes in Brazil,” says Fernanda Doria, business director for medium-sized companies at Google Brazil. “We were honored to be part of the journey of so many Brazilians who, over the past two years, have shown their resilience,” she adds.
