YouTube announces Itaú, TIM and Renault as sponsors of its Play de Verdade commercial package, which annually brings together companies and content creators to celebrate the racial, cultural, gender and sexuality diversity that make up Brazil. This plurality of voices, accents and stories is celebrated in several projects that include, among others, the #ParadaAoVivo: an event that marks the opening of the month of LGBTQIAP+ Pride with coverage of parades in 26 states and the Federal District.
Since 2018, YouTube, in partnership with Dia Estúdio, has covered the São Paulo LGBT Parade. This year, YouTube will promote #ParadaAoVivo to open the month’s celebrations for the LGBTQIAP+ struggle. The proposal is to highlight the different cultures and realities of the LGBTQIAP+ population across the country. There will be 12 hours of live content, with multichannel broadcasting on more than 15 channels.
Coverage will be carried out by a diverse and regionalized cast of gay, lesbian, bisexual, pansexual and transgender content creators. Among them, names like drag queen Lorelay Fox, the couple Diva Depressão, Nataly Neri, Vitor diCastro from the Deboche Astral channel, Louie Ponto and Spartakus Santiago. And it will feature conversation circles on topics relevant to the community, interviews, live shows with national LGBTQIAP+ artists, who bring their local experiences from the five Brazilian regions and personal experiences to add to all sexual and gender diversity, in addition to the coverage calendar. of the physical stops of all capitals. Funds will also be raised for NGOs that support the cause across the country.

There is nothing more natural than taking this plurality to all corners of our country to show that the LGBTQIAP+ experience is not just one, it is many and multiple”, says Alessandra Gambuzzi, Director of Content Projects at Google. “We are very happy to have, for another year, an agenda of events and actions to discuss the topic. Especially in a year of taking to the streets to celebrate rights conquered and fight for those still to be conquered, and alongside big brands that understand the urgency and importance of this agenda.”
In addition to #ParadaAoVivo, the Play de Verdade package also has initiatives such as #YouTubeBlack, which takes place every year on Black Awareness Day, and other content deliveries such as podcasts, Shorts and lives format content. The proposal is to encourage the conversation about inclusion and diversity on YouTube, with the appreciation of content, creators, the platform itself and partner brands. The initiative, which will last from June to December 2022, will offer a consultancy to sponsoring companies so that they can join this conversation.
