This Sunday (June 19) takes place the long-awaited 26th São Paulo LGBT+ Pride Parade, held by the São Paulo LGBT Pride Parade Association (APOLGBT-SP), which occupies Avenida Paulista, with a concentration at 10 am and starting at noon. The theme that entitles this year’s Parade is Vote with Pride – For a Policy that Represents. Claudia Garcia, president of the NGO:
“After two years without in-person editions, it is an immense pleasure to return to the streets and reinforce to the public its responsibility to support representatives who are committed to a more just and egalitarian Brazil. That is why we endorse in our campaign the need for attention with the upcoming elections”,
The 26th São Paulo LGBT+ Pride Parade will be sponsored by names such as Terra, Smirnoff, Burger King, Amstel, Mercado Livre, Jean Paul Gaultier and Vivo. Accor, Avon, Doritos, LAIS (Laboratory of Technological Innovation in Health) and Philip Morris also support the event. In addition, the Parade has the institutional support of the City of São Paulo and the Government of the State of São Paulo, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, through the Proac ICMS incentive law, and international support from the British Council .
