The project was conceived by Soko and aims to amplify the voice of artists in the community
Beats launched the Palco Beats initiative, which will pay the fee for transgender artists on stages in different concert halls throughout Brazil, with the aim of expanding the voice of this generation of artists.
Locals who want to participate in the initiative must enter the brand’s social networks and fill out a registration form, as do artists aged 25 and over.
“Our desire is to act as a literal showcase for the talents and powers that we know exist in the trans community, helping to amplify these voices,” said Thayná Duarte, Cultural Intelligence Coordinator for Future Beverages at Ambev.
The Beats Stage was designed by Soko. “Palco Beats is an initiative that has resources aimed at a single objective: to bring more trans and transvestites artists to the stage. We are very happy with the launch of this project that is just beginning”, added Isabela Marangoni, Creative Leader at Soko.
To help connect spaces and these artists, DIVERSITY BBOX Consultoria and Instituto SSEX BBOX will curate the project.
“There is no social justice without economic justice and giving this access to the stages to the Trans artistic community is the centerpiece of the discussion about inclusion, equity and the future of work”, explained Pri Bertucci, non-binary trans person, creator of the Trans Pride March , CEO of DIVERSITY BBOX, a consultancy specializing in diversity and equity and founder of the SSEX BBOX Institute.
