Platform projects aim to promote LGBTQIAP+ artists and content creators in the audio universe
Spotify is promoting an initiative honoring artists and creators in the LGBTQIAP+ community called Turn Up Your Pride Volume.
The project allows users to discover LGBTQIAP+ artists and thus increase representation in their streaming music libraries by recommending a personalized playlist.
Platform users can perform a test and verify the level of representation within their playlists. In addition to the percentage of LGBTQIAP+ artists that the user has been listening to, it is possible to discover the most listened to singer, the bubblegum track, the feat that was on repeat and the artists that would form the dream band.
The experience is based on Pride, Spotify’s official hub featuring music and podcasts from artists and creators in the LGBTQIAP+ community.
The project is part of the YouTube campaign #BaileDoShorts, which, like Spotify’s initiatives, also promotes LGBTQIAP+ artists and content creators in the audio universe.
For Pride Month, the platform also runs the “Da Parada Pras Paradas” campaign, which features a series of out of home (OOH) media positioned in the São Paulo LGBT Pride Parade circuit, with the aim of promoting the discovering and listening to more creators in the community.
