In the action “My name, my pride”, fintech will provide guidance and pay for micro-entrepreneurs interested in rectification
SumUp launched a campaign to help transgender clients get their names corrected, called “My name, my pride”.
In partnership with the NGO Casa Neon Cunha, fintech will provide guidance to clients interested in making the move and will cover the costs of the process.
“Name is identity. It’s part of who we are and carries all the history we build in the world. It is a source of pride, so much so that we see many entrepreneurs naming their companies with their names. That’s why we decided to create this campaign”, said Vanessa Martins, creative manager at SumUp and one of the creators of the action.
The campaign will last throughout the month of June and everyone who joins will be guided by the specialized team of the NGO Casa Neon Cunha, who will answer questions about the process, assist in the organization and capture of the necessary documents and give tips on the best and most accessible notaries. to request a name change.
“Providing this process for trans people is a matter of commitment and respect for everyone. Initiatives like these on the part of companies make people believe in the possibility of full inclusion and make them feel welcomed”, says Paulo Araújo, representative of the NGO Neon Cunha.
In addition to the video, SumUp is also working on the campaign on its social networks, posting content related to it.
